Como Lake Neighbor Network
Greetings fellow Como Lake lovers!  Welcome to the homepage of the Como Lake Neighbor Network (CLNN).  To learn who we are and what we do, check out our About page.

YOU are invited to join our network!
We invite anyone and everyone who is interested in Como Lake and its importance to the Como neighborhood to join our network.  You can sign up for our e-list and follow along with our email updates.  You can participate in monthly study circle  get togethers.  You can take part in action projects we do around the neighborhood.  However you’d like to get involved is totally up to you.  If you have questions or would like to join our group, contact CLNN’s lead organizer, Janna Caywood, at jcaywood@goldengate.net

CLNN Learning Objectives:
As a new network, we are in the process of developing our mission, principles, operating guidelines, and goals and objectives.  For now we have identified several learning objectives that have guided our understanding of the issues facing Como Lake and our role as citizens in developing and implementing solutions.  These include:

  • What is causing the excess algae in Como Lake?
  • What is the government role in taking care of Como Lake?
  • What can citizens do to help Como Lake?

We invite you to join us in our quest to better understand our lake and what we can do to help.  Along the way we hope to get to know many more of our neighbors, to understand what they think about our lake, what it means to them, and what creative ideas they have to help us work together as a community to help our lake recover.  Solving problems together is what democracy is all about.  Join us as we re-embrace our “citizenship” together.
